Main Aim:
Project refers to improving the access to social services and social isolation restriction of ex-prisoners by implementing a new mechanism for social work, commensurable with the European standards and practices. Users of project results are representatives of non-governmental institutions and organizations, working with offenders and ex-prisoners. Project activities are a development process of technical and practical implementation in three regions (Pazardjik, Pleven and Burgas) of a social four-module system “Horizons” for information, monitoring and providing efficient social services to ex-prisoners.
Results Achieved:
Worked out a specialized informational system for providing social services and monitoring of services for ex-prisoners provided by the institutions; 30 representatives of non-governmental organizations trained in program application; developed three regional strategies for system operation and drawn more than 150 institutional and organization representatives from the three municipalities; printed: “Guide-book of Prisoner” General Manual for Applying “Horizons” System”, “Status Report on Social Services for Ex-prisoners”.
