“Social System for Reintegration of Convicted Persons and Ex-prisoners”

Main Aim:
This project aims at establishing a social system for reintegration and support of convicted persons, ex-prisoners and their families and to cooperate for applying European and world standards into the Bulgarian penitentiary system by creating models in three district towns in southern Bulgaria.
Results achieved:
Trained 20 young specialists: team work, clinic social work, consulting offenders; Created first in the country( based in community) Center for work with prisoners and ex-prisoners in Pazardjik; Sociologic survey conducted among 300 prisoners in three prisons in the country; Sociologic survey carried out on community tendencies regarding prisoners; Developed programs: “Educational Program”- 26 participants in Pazardjik prison and Plovdiv prison; “Employment Motivation”-7 participants in Stara Zagora –Prison; “Legal Program”; Developed software product of an informational system for registration and monitoring of clients-offenders; Information and Promotion activities: two promotion boards in Pazardjik-Prison; three types of promotion folders; Bulletin- 1 issue, in 500 copies; Four radiobroadcasts; Two TV debatable broadcasts;
