Pre-Christmas spirits can be felt in CSRI for support of children to develop skills for an independent life and prevention of risky behaviour – Plovdiv. The preparation for the coming Christmas holidays started with the decoration of the Christmas tree. Having the children’s handmade toys on, the tree shined as if taken from a fairy tale. Children from HCDPC (Home for children deprived of parental care) who are part of the aimed group of the Centre participated in the tree decoration. The moment was highly emotional for them since they have grown up in an institution and they do not know the tradition of this family holiday. The team of the Centre wants to show them the Christmas magic through different activities – an art workshop for making Christmas cards, Christmas decorations and objects, decoration of the Christmas tree and a theatrical play of “The Nativity”, which will be a first theatrical performance for most of the children.
