Regional Consultative-Training Center for Drug, HIV/AIDS, Violence Prevention”

Main Aim:
Create premises for developing a regional system for drug, violence and AIDS prevention, with youth establishments and groups as main participants, supported by non-governmental organizations and local institutions.
Objectives:
Open a program office/future center for drug, violence and Aids prevention/.
- Research in participation tendencies for prevention of these major negative occurrences within institutions directly connected with the problem.
- Establish Youth clubs in Roma schools.
- Training seminar for Youth clubs representatives and a working meeting for directly connected to the problems regional institution.
- Press-conference for presenting the research results and organization strategy.
- Continue the established program practices: discos, radiobroadcasts, school meeting and discussions, rock concert and others, with two Roma youth clubs as direct participants.
- Include the organization in information networks for the innovated methods for prevention of these major occurrences.
Results achieved:
Training seminar for regional specialists on programs for early prevention and consultation on addiction problems;
Opened a consultative room with a team of regional specialists and open youth telephone line – about 50 clients; Program ”Get to Know Us!”- 3 meeting of both parents and their children;
Training of 12 youth leaders in work abilities on programs with their coevals;
