Main Aim: To support the establishment of LIG on the territory of the partner municipalities Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad.
Objectives:
- To increase the skills of the local community to establish and support the functioning of the LIG
- To support the process of elaboration of an adequate and competitive local development strategy
- To activate and involve the widest possible audience from the three municipalities for participation in the development and implementation of the strategy
- To support and develop the local initiative to establish LIGs.

NEWS 

Information seminar in Belovo 

“Center for Training and Services” and Belovo Municipality has organized an information seminar to discuss the Strategy for Local Development of the municipalities Belovo Septemvri and Velingrad. The event happened today at 10:30 am in the hall of the Municipal Council - Belovo and is part of the project "Acquisition of skills and animating potential of local action group in the municipalities Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad.”
This was the first seminar of overall three, which will be held until the end of the month in the municipalities. Within the seminars will be discussed the final version of the Strategy for Local Development as application under the Programme for Rural Development.
The aim of the seminar was to involve all stakeholders to give their opinion about various details of the strategy before its formal submission to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

 Set up LAG - Belovo, Velingrad and Septemvri 

Constituent Assembly to create a non-profit organization "Local Action Group - Belovo Velingrad and Septemvri” will be held on 24 March at 11.00 am in the hall of the Municipal Council - Belovo.
The founders will adopt a constitution and elect its board. Unless specified by the Municipal Councils of Belovo, Velingrad and Septemvri representatives of the municipal authorities, within the Board would be elected and representatives of civil society organizations, community centers, private businesses and individuals.
For membership in the NGO "Local Action Group – Belovo, Velingrad and Septemvri", legal persons must submit a protocol decision of its governing body.
The Constituent Assembly is held within the project "Acquisition of skills and animating potential of local action group in the municipalities of Belovo, Velingrad and Septemvri.” This is the fourth forum session on the project. Organizers of the forum are the “Center for Training and Services” and the Municipality of Belovo.

 Forum session discusses: “Strategies for Local Development“ 

Yesterday in the courtroom of the Septemvri’s Municipal Council was held a forum session, which continues the development process of a local development strategy in municipalities of Belovo, Velingrad and September and the building of the Local Action Group. Organizers of the event were the Center for Training and Services and the Municipality of September. This is the third out of 5 sessions, which will be held in the months between November 2009 and March 2010 in the municipalities of Belovo, September and Velingrad. The sessions are open to all the municipalities’ residents that are interested in creating a local action group.
During the forum, the participants have envisaged measures that would be included in the local development strategy. In the remaining 2 sessions the final version of the strategy would be voted and would be selected the Board members of the LAG.
The forum sessions are held within the project "Acquisition of skills and achievement of social activity as a potential local action group in the municipalities of Belovo, September and Velingrad.”

 The process of creating LAGs in Belovo September and Velingrad continues

Last week in Velingrad was held forum session to develop a strategie for local development and the creation of Local Action Group (LAG). The event was held at the Municipal Children's Complex - Velingrad and was opened by the deputy mayors of the municipality - Diana Kehaiova and Ismet Babuchi.
This is the second of the five sessions that will be held in the period November 2009-March 2010. In it the participants have identified the objectives and priorities for developing a strategy for local development. The forum was held within the project “Achieving Skills and Public Activity for Potential Local activity groups in Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad Municipalities.”

 LAG Belovo, Septmvri and Velingrad

Yesterday the Training and Services Centre Association and Belovo municipality have leaded the first forum session, which launch the process of the creation of a local strategy for development and the formation of a local activity group on the territory of Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad municipalities. The event was conducted from 13.00 to 17.00 o’clock in the Municipality Counsel’s hall – Belovo.
This forum is the first session of a total of 5's, which will be held from November 2009 to March 2010 on a rotating basis in the territory of three municipalities - Belovo, Velingrad and September. All inhabitants of Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad municipalities, who are interested in the creation of the LAG can participate in the sessions. The agenda for the next four meetings includes discussion and approval of specific measurements in the Development Program of the Rural Areas and the Organizational Structure of LAG. During this first session, the participants made analysis of the area and have voted the main priorities for its development.
The meetings are organized by the Training and Services Centre Association and the municipalities of Belovo, Septemvri, and Velingrad within the project “Achieving Skills and Public Activity for Potential Local activity groups in Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad Municipalities.”

 Information meeting and training seminar in Velingrad 

Information meeting introducing the Program for development of the country regions 2007-2013, the approach Leader, the role of Local development strategy and local action groups held on September 1 at 10.00 am in the hall of the Municipal Children's Complex - Velingrad.
The meeting was held within the project “Acquisition of skills and achievement of social activity of potential local action group in the municipalities of Peshtera, Septemvri and Velingrad.
It was the first information meeting for Municipality of Velingrad , in wich were invited to attend about a hundred representatives of the local agricultural and non agricultural business, educational, religious and cultural institutions, the local authorities, the banking and social sector, media, non governmental field, the social sector and other individuals – local leaders. During the meeting was introduced a general information about the Program for development of the country regions and the approach LEADER and the key parties were outlined. General principles and rules were adopted and the first meeting to develop a local strategy within the areas of MIG – Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad was fixed.
On September 11 in the hall of the Information Center for Small and Medium Business in Velingrad held a training workshop for participants in the Work Group in order to be introduced with the Program for development of the country regions, the approach Leader, the role of the strategy for local development and the local action groups. The work group included representatives within the whole populated area.

Information meeting in Belovo 

On August 24, from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Hall of the Municipal Council – Belovo, Center for training and services and Municipality of Batak held an information meeting to introduce the Program for development of the country regions 2007 – 2013, the approach “Leader”, the role of the Strategy for local progress and the Local enterprising group.
The meeting was held within the project “Acquisition of skills and achievement of social activity of the potential local action group in the municipalities of Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad”.This was the first information meeting for Municipality of Belovo, in which were invited to attend about a hundred representatives of the local agricultural business, the agricultural co-operations, the forestry enterprise, the forestry committee of land, the local and agricultural business, the educational, religious and cultural institutions, the local authorities, the banking filed, media, non governmental institutions, the social enterprise and individuals – known and respected figures (local leaders).
During the meeting, in addition to the general information about the Program for development of the country regions and “Leader”, were identified the key stakeholders, “working masses” were formed, the general principals and rules were adopted and the first meeting for development of the local strategy within the area MIG – Belovo, Spetemvri and Velingrad was set up.
