Goal of the project: Reducing the acts of domestic violence and the negative consequences on victims and society.

Aims:

Protecting victims of domestic violence through reintegration and recovery; Reducing acts of domestic violence through perpetrators’ participation in a Specialized programme; Increasing the competency of representatives of institutions for enforcing measures for domestic violence protection; Increasing the awareness of the problem “domestic violence” among youngsters and developing their skills for recognising and dealing with domestic violence.

Long-term goals:

Turning the office of Fund IGA into a major centre for help and assistance to victims of domestic violence in Pazardzhik region; Delivering services and programmes to perpetrators of domestic violence.

Target groups:

- victims of domestic violence;

- perpetrators of domestic violence;

- magistrates enforcing the measures under Law for protection against domestic violence and representatives of institutions engaged in the problem;

- group for prevention of violence.

Activities:

1.      Analysis of the domestic violence situation in Pazardzhik region;

2.      Programme for developing skills for recognising and dealing with domestic violence at schools in Pazardzhik region and Guidance for its application;

3.      Approbating the Programme at two schools in Pazardzhik region; Report with results from its conduction;

4.      Training seminar for magistrates enforcing the measures under the Law for protection against domestic violence and representatives of institutions engaged in the problem “domestic violence”;

5.      Preventive programmes and consultations: social, psychological, and legal; Behavioural rehabilitation group assistance programme for victims of violence; Consultations for victims of violence at populated places in Pazardzhik region.

6.      Specialised programme for perpetrators of domestic violence and Risk assessment of repeat victimisation;

7.      Three Information days in Pazardzhik region at places where there has been no information campaign;

8.      Training seminar for teachers at Pazardzhik region for applying the Programme for developing skills for recognising and dealing with domestic violence;

9.      Round table - finalising the project;

10.     Activities for publicity.
