Public discussion of the Strategy for Local Development 

Local Action Group - Peshtera held a public discussion on the Local Development Strategy for the Peshtera Municipality within the project "Acquisition of skills and animating potential of local action group in the municipality Peshtera."
At the event were considered the different parts of the Strategy for Local Development, as well as its aims and priorities, the different measures, and the budget allocation to individual projects. Also during the event was presented updated information on the program of rural development in the implementation of Axis 4 – LEADER.

MIG set up in Peshtera 

Constituent Assembly that will create a non-profit organization "Local Action Group - Cave" will be held on 18 March at 13.00 hours in the hall of the Municipal Council - Peshtera. Organizers of the event are Fund for Crime Prevention – IGA and the Municipality of Peshtera.
Participants will adopt a Statute, will elect a Steering Committee, and will determine the amount of membership dues. Than those designated by the City Council - Peshtera representatives of municipal authorities, the Governing Council will be elected and representatives of civil society organizations, community centers, private businesses and individuals.
For membership in the NPO "Local Action Group - Peshtera" participants in the Constituent Assembly entities (LTD, legal non-profit organizations and community centers) must submit a protocol decision of its governing body. The Constituent Assembly shall be held within the project "Acquisition of skills and achievement of social activity as a potential local action group within the Peshtera community.” This is the fourth forum session on the project.

Third Forum Session – Peshtera 

 Yesterday, in the courtroom of the Municipal Council – Peshtera, was held the Third forum session within Project "Acquisition of Skills and Achievement of Social Activity as a Potential Local Action Group (LAG) within Peshtera community.
On the session were considered measures of Axis 1 and Axis 2 of the Program for Rural Development. This included discussions on how the measures can help for purposeful development of the territory of LAG in Peshtera and how can be included in the local development strategy.
One of the specific problems of the territory, according to locals, is the protection of Besapara ridges, as they are essential for the protection of greater number of higher flora in Bulgaria, as well as rare and endangered species.
The next session, on which the Local Action Group would be established, will be held until the end of March.

Second forum session carried out in Peshtera 

 (16.12) Yesterday in the Hall of the Municipal Council in Peshtera a second forum session was carried out within the process of development of the Local Development Strategy and the establishment of the Local Action Group (LAG). The participants outlined the main goals and priorities of the Strategy. By the end of March 2010 the remaining 3 sessions will be carried out in order to discuss and adopt the concrete measures of the Program for rural regions development as well as issues of the organization of the Local Action Groups. The forum was held within project “Achieving Skills and Public Activity for a Potential Local Action Group in Peshtera Municipality”. Partners in the project are IGA and the Municipality of Peshtera. These forum sessions are open for participation of all local citizens, who are interested in the creation of a Local Action Group.

The first Forum session for a domestic strategy development and a local activity group (LAG) in Peshtera. 

Yesterday, from 13.30 to 18.00 o’clock, in the hotel “Domein’s”, Peshtera, hall was conducted the first LAG forum-session with huge interest from the domestic population. The session has set the beginning of the planning process of the domestic development strategy of the municipality of Peshtera and the creation of LAG. The meeting was initiated in the frames of the project “Acquisition of skills and achievement of social activity for potential LAG within the territory of Peshtera municipality”. During the session, the participants made analysis of the area and have voted the main priorities for its development.
That was the first from all five sessions, which have to be organized within the period of November 2009 to March 2010. All local inhabitants, who are interested in the creation of the LAG, can participate in the sessions. The agenda for the next four meetings includes discussion and approval of specific measurements in the Development Program of the Rural Areas and the Organizational Structure of LAG. The event organizers were “Crime Prevention Fund – IGA” as a leading organization and Municipality of Peshtera as project partner.

Project for LAG introduced to the business in Peshtera 

Информационна среща за запознаване с Програмата за развитие на селските райони 2007-2013”, подхода „ЛИДЕР” и Проект „Придобиване на умения и постигане на обществена активност за потенциална МИГ на територията на община Пещера” се проведе тези дни в общинския център.
След поредица от срещи, в рамките на широката информационна кампания се включиха и представители на местния бизнес. Те проявиха голям интерес към възможностите, които програмата и проекта създават за бизнеса на територията на общината.
Характерно за ЛИДЕР е, че европейските пари се управляват съгласно местните нужди и инициативите на местните хора. Мнозинството от хората, които ще избират проектите по ЛИДЕР, трябва да са представители на местния бизнес, на обществени, културни, образователни и други организации. Местните инициативни групи са особен вид партньорство между местните власти и местните общности. Една от тези общности е и местния бизнес.

Training of potential participants in MIG 

(October 9th) Today in Peshtera a training seminar for potential participants in the Local Initiative Groups was held. Representatives of social services in Municipality of Peshtera took part.
The program for their training is developed within the project” Acquisition of skills and achievement of social activity for potential MIG in Peshtera. The education is expected to cover around 20 people, who have the potential to participate in the function of the Local Initiative group. It is possible that this group be expended in the process of training, and in particular the training of the Leader approach.
The training will be implemented in two stages: four training sessions will be held before the establishment of MIG and four training sessions – after the group formation.

Municipality of Peshtera and Fund IGA held an information meeting 

Information meeting aiming to introduce the Program for development of the country regions 2007-2013, the approach “Leader”, the role of the local development strategy and the local initiative group held on Wednesday ( September 9) at 5 pm in the hall of the Municipal Council – Peshtera.
The meeting was held within the project “Acquisition of skills and achievement of social activity of potential local action group in the area of Peshtera.
This was the first information meeting for Municipality of Peshtera , which was attended by representatives of the local agricultural and non agricultural business, the educational, religious and cultural institutions, the local authorities, the banking and social field, media and non governmental sector.
