Students from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” are visiting Fund – IGA
Students from the Master’s programme “Pedagogy of deviant behavior” at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” visited the office of Crime Prevention Fund – IGA last week. The main goal of their visit was to introduce them to the activities of the organization as well as the services it provides to people who have been released after being imprisoned. The nine students together with their lecturer - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yoanka Purvanova, met part of the team of Fund – IGA and were introduced to the overall activity of the organization. After that they visited the Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration of Offenders where they learned about the development and functioning of the Centre by its manager – Valentina Gesheva. The students also showed interest in the specialists’ work before the start of the Centre – how they had started in 2002, what difficulties they had met, how they had handled them, and how the delegated service had been developed.
