Goals of the project:
· Developing and putting into practice models of services for children in conflict or in contact with the law;
· Contributing to changes in the public opinion about children in conflict with the law;
· Supporting the development of a regional approach by the National Network for Children and the member-organizations.
Main activities:
1. Development of four Centres for children’s rights which provide services for children in conflict and in contact with the law. They will be based in the following cities: Sofia (Social Activities and Practice Institute), Russe (Association “Equilibrium”), Pazardzhik (Crime Prevention Fund – IGA), and Vratsa (Association for Pedagogical and Social Assistance for Children FITSE).
2. Prevention: services in the community with focus on violence (working with schools, kindergartens, local municipalities). Targeted prevention of children at risk – children from single-parent families, families with many kids, unemployed parents, parents with mental problems, or parents with addictions.
3. Early intervention: Guidance and work with other professionals and services related to children victims of violence or children victims of crimes – within the four Centres in the country.
4. Specialized services: Work with children perpetrators of anti-social acts, within the four Centres in the country.
5. Management and coordination of the project activities: Increasing the capacity of the parties concerned by conducting trainings and meetings for exchange of experience and practices.
6. Publicity: Planning and conducting of campaigns at local, regional, and national level.
