Unforgettable prom in Boyana Residence
On May 26th a prom at Boyana Residence was organized for young people at a disadvantage under the patronage of the President of Bulgaria – Rosen Plevneliev. Andon Andonov – a young man accommodated in Monitored Care Unit – Plovdiv, also took part in the prom.
On the prom day the guests of the Residency had the opportunity to see the unique exposition at the National History Museum and the treasures of the country. The event is part of the President’s charity initiative “Support One Dream”, which aims at encouraging the personal and professional realization of senior students as well as their training and qualification through consultations and support by specialists. This year the initiative embraced 145 of the graduates of 2015/2016.
At 04:40 in the afternoon the President welcomed the senior students at the Sunny Hall of the National History Museum. Asya Cholashka – State Secretary for Social Policy, Youth, and Sports, rendered an account of the conduction of the Collaboration Agreement that unites the efforts of the Presidency, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the State Child Support Agency, the Employment Agency and the Social Assistance Agency, within the framework of the President’s initiative “Support One Dream” 2015-2016.
The official prom was held at 07:30 in the evening at Hall 2 in Boyana Residency. Among the famous people who supported the initiative were Lyubomir Neykov, Nencho Ilchev, Poli Genova, Desislava Dobreva, Rafi Bohosyan, Hristiyana Loizou, etc.
Monitored Care Unit is a state delegated activity of Plovdiv Municipality which has been managed by Crime Prevention Fund – IGA.
