Final conference presented ideas for social enterprises
Final conference under Project “Social Inclusion of Offenders by Innovative Models of Social Enterprises” was held on 26th June in the conference hall of hotel “Seven Hills” – Plovdiv.
The project has used German experience in the development of innovative models of social enterprises for offenders by a series of surveys, analyses, working meetings, trainings, information days, focus groups, and visits to Germany. It aims at studying specific models of innovative social enterprises for offenders in Germany and testing and experimenting with them in Bulgaria as well as spreading and exchanging information and experience in the social entrepreneurship of reintegrating offenders.
The leading organization of the project has been Crime Prevention Fund – IGA, and “xit-GmbG” – Germany and Association “Training and Service Centre” have been its partners.
Participants in the conference were representatives of municipalities with the capacity to implement projects for social inclusion of offenders or managing social enterprises; representatives of NGOs delivering social services and having the capacity to implement projects for social inclusion of offenders or managing social enterprises; representatives of the regional structures of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, and other institutions.
At the conference were presented the results of the project, the German practice and models of social enterprises having been visited in Germany, those chosen for adapting and adopting in Bulgaria as well as business plans made by applied specialists of the project.
