Information Days against Home Abuse
Crime Prevention Fund – IGA has been implementing Project “Against the Invisible Violence” since the beginning of the year. The project has been funded by the Ministry of Justice by virtue of article 19, paragraph 3 of the Regulations for applying the Law for Protection against Home Abuse (LPHA). It aims at timely and adequate support to victims of home abuse as well as services for working with perpetrators of home abuse.
4 Information Days were held for popularizing the project, especially the activity of the Bureau for Consulting, Directing and Support of Victims of Home Abuse. The first one was in Pazardzhik and the others as follows – on 8th May in Peshtera, on 15th May in Belovo, and on 22nd May in Strelcha.
There were more than 80 representatives of institutions, organizations, and media at the Information Days including representatives of Municipal Administration, Directorate “Social Assistance”, courts, police offices, probation, schools, media, and citizens.
The Information Days popularized the project and the services under the Law for Protection against Home Abuse in a region with population more than 160 000 people.
