Regional Fund - IGA, Pazardjik won an international award! Personally Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal presented the International Community Justice Awards!

Seminar DN 24.04.2015The first training under project “Against the Invisible Violence” was held at the end of April in Velingrad. The project has been funded by the Ministry of Justice by virtue of article 19, paragraph 3 of the Regulations for applying the Law for Protection against Home Abuse (LPHA). It aims at timely and adequate protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration of victims of home abuse as well as services for working with perpetrators of home abuse and decreasing such acts and the negative consequences on the victims and the society.
8 judges from Pazardzhik, Panagyurishte, and Peshtera took part in the training as well as 4 experts who are going to work with the victims and the perpetrators of home abuse.
The following more important topics were presented to the participants: Home abuse – nature and definition, different aspects of home abuse (gender aspects, victimological aspect), Object and subject of home abuse, Characteristics of the perpetrator, characteristics of the victim of home abuse – woman, man, child; Forms and versions of home abuse; Children – victims of home abuse, etc. An expert from Fund – IGA presented the developed System for Assessing the Risk of Home Abuse, which is going to be applied within the project.
Within the final discussion the judges shared their practices and commented on different aspects of the operation of the Law for Protection against Home Abuse.
