Project “Against the Invisible Violence”
An Information Day under Project “Against the Invisible Violence” was held on 17th April at the Press Club of BTA – Pazardzhik. The project has been funded by the Ministry of Justice by virtue of article 19, paragraph 3 of the Regulations for applying the Law for Protection against Home Abuse (LPHA) and has been implemented by Crime Prevention Fund – IGA.
This is the fourth project of Fund – IGA whose goal is timely and adequate support for victims of home abuse as well as services for working with perpetrators of home abuse.
The results from the projects of Fund – IGA on this subject will be analyzed within this project, a Model of Assessing and Managing the Risk of Home Abuse will be introduced, and 2 training seminars for applied specialists of the organization and judges with practice in applying the Law for Protection against Home Abuse (LPHA) will be held. The project will popularize the services under LPHA and the programme for perpetrators of abuse in the territory of Region Pazardzhik by creating and spreading information materials, conducting Information Days and a closing Round Table with the participation of all institutions concerned.
The main activity of the project is expected to create a Bureau for Consulting, Directing, and Support of Victims of Abuse for Delivery of Psychological, Juridical, and Social Consultations as well as to apply a Specialized programme for perpetrators of home abuse.
Representatives of institutions, organizations, and the media took part in the Information Day. They actively participated in a discussion on the interaction between the institutions aimed at decreasing the negative effect of home abuse on the whole society.
