Regional Fund - IGA, Pazardjik won an international award! Personally Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal presented the International Community Justice Awards!

Blagoevgrad 20.06.2014.JPGFive Focus groups were conducted in Pleven, Shumen, Isperih, Burgas, and Blagoevgrad within 20 May – 16 JunScumen 20.06.2014e. They were part of the Project “Social Inclusion of Offenders by Innovative Models of Social Enterprises”. After conducting the first event of this kind in Kardzhali on 10 May, such ones were organized and conducted in regional and municipal centres of the other 5 economic regions in the country. The German practice on the topic was presented there as well as a report, which was made within the project. The report was on the research of the German experience in the development of innovative models of social enterprises for offenders. The topic arouse a huge interest due to the differences in the legislative, institutional, and public situation in the two countries and the necessity of looking for applicable elements from the researcheBurgas 20.06.2014.JPGd models.
Representatives of institutions concerned with this topic, representatives of municipal administrations and the civil sector – NGO, which deliver social services, manage social enterprises, or have the necessary capacity for this took part in the forums. In a heated disIsperih 20.06.2014.JPGcussion they shared their impressions on the presented German experience as well as on the situation in Bulgaria.
In the following months a team of experts is going to transfer and adapt three models for a social enterprise from the German practice, which are due to be presented on informative days in the autumn this year. 
A report for the functioning of the model in Bulgaria will be prepared as a final product. The project has been funded by Operative Programme “Human Resources Development” and co-funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund, under the Grant Funding Scheme: BG051PO001-7.0.07 “NO BOUNDARIES – COMPONENT 1 – Phase 2”, Contract BG051PO001-7.0.07-0140.
