Fokus K-ji 15.05.2014Focus Group under the Project “Social Inclusion of Offenders through Innovative Models of Social Enterprises” was conducted on May 10 in Hall 5 in the Businessincubator. The event involved presenting the results from the research of the experience of Germany, the Province of Brandenburg and Berlin, in the development of innovative models of social enterprises for offenders, sharing specific experience from the research visit to some enterprises in Brandenburg and Berlin, which was conducted in April this year, and discussing the actual conditions in Bulgaria and the opportunities for adopting innovative models. The activity is due to the present differences in the legislative, institutional, and public situation in the two countries and the necessity to find the most applicable elements of the models being researched.
Focus Groups are going to be conducted in 6 cities from the six planned regions in Bulgaria: Kardzhali, Pleven, Shumen, Burgas, Isperih, and Blagoevgrad.
Crime Prevention Fund – IGA has been implementing the Project “Social Inclusion of Offenders through Innovative Models of Social Enterprises” in partnership with “xit-GmbH” Germany and Association “Training and Service Centre” since November 1, 2013. The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of life of the people in Bulgaria by using the German experience in the development of innovative models of social enterprises for offenders. The specific goals are to research particular models of innovative social enterprises for offenders in Germany and then to test them and experiment with them in Bulgaria by exchanging information and experience in the social enterpeneurship in the reintegration of offenders.
The project has been funded by Operative Programme “Human Resources Development”, co-funded by the European Fund through the European Social Fund, Scheme for delivery of free financial assistance: BG051PO001-7.0.07 “NO BOUNDARIES – COMPONENT 1 – Phase 2”, Contract BG051PO001-7.0.07-0140. It is a continuation of the Project “Bulgarian-German Platform for Innovative Policies and Decisions in the Social Inclusion of Offenders”, which finished last year. Agreement for establishing a Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and decisions in the social inclusion of offenders was signed within the framework of this project. Kardzhali Municipality is part of this agreement.
