New project of Fund – IGA will apply the German experience of the social enterprises for offenders
On 3rd and 4th March the first working meeting under project “Social inclusion of offenders by innovative models of social enterprises” took place in the office of Fund – IGA. This project is a continuation of project “Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and decisions in the social inclusion of offenders”, which finished in October last year. The German organization xit – GmbH – Germany and the Association “Training and Service Centre” are partners of Fund – IGA.
Prof. Harrold Christa and Clemens Russel from Germany, representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, representatives of the Agency for Social Assistance, experts, who work under the project, and the team, which manages its implementation, took part in the meeting.
The project will use the German experience in the development of innovative models of social enterprises for offenders through a series of surveys, analyses, working meetings, trainings, informative days, focus groups, and visits to Germany. The goal of the project is to study specific models of innovative social enterprises for offenders in Germany and to test and experiment them in Bulgaria. Another goal is to spread and exchange information and experience in the social enterpreneurship in the reintegration of offenders. Three models for innovative social enterprises will be adapted and then they will be tested and adopted in Bulgaria.
The Project has been implemented within Operative Programme “Human Resources Development”, cofunded by the European Union through the European Social Fund, Free Financial Assistance Scheme: BG051PO001-7.0.07 “NO BOUNDARIES – COMPONENT 1 – Phase 2”. It will finish in June, 2015.
