P1210691 21.11.2013A second working visit within the framework of Project “Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and decisions in the social inclusion of offenders” took place from 21st to 25th October. Members of the Bulgarian-German platform, which was established in September in Pazardzhik, took part in the visit.

The goal of the visit was to introduce to the participants the model of prevention by social integration of offenders in the Province of Brandenburg.

A series of working meetings and visits to institutions and key places related to the subject of the project and the P1210768 21.11.2013platform took place: to the organization “Manne.V, which works with men and youngsters from Germany, to the Educational Centre for Youngsters “Stiftung Helmut Ziegner”, which offers trainings for more than 20 professions and to “Universal-Stiftung Helmut Ziegner” – Centre for Accommodation of Former Prisoners.

Two working meetings took place – one in the office of the organization hosting the event HSI GmbH, where Clemens Russell showed by visual methods how the network functioned, and the other – in the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Women’s and Families’ Rights in the Province of Brandenburg. Dr. Offermann himself was P1210616 21.11.2013at the meeting. He introduced to the delegation the activity of the Ministry as well as his priorities for the next programme period, which included a decrease of the number of the unemployed.

Useful discussions, exchange of experience and good practices were integral part of the visits and the meetings. All delegates shared their positive impressions and utter content from the visit.
