Final conference under Project “Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and decisions in the social inclusion of offenders” took place on 18 October (Friday) at 02:00 p.m. in “Hebar” hall in hotel “Hebar” – Pazardzhik. The Project has been implemented by Association “Training and Service Centre” in partnership with the German organization xit GmbH and Crime Prevention Fund –IGA. Its main goal is to improve the quality of life of the people in Bulgaria by establishing platform between Bulgaria and Germany for mutual work under projects directed to enhance the social inclusion of offenders.

The results from the project, the Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and decisions in the social inclusion of offenders and the activity of CSRI for offenders, which has been coordinated by Fund – IGA, were presented at the conference. Vesselin Kotsev – governer of the Prison, Pazardzhik, representatives from the District office for execution of punishments (DOEP) – Pazardzhik, and representatives from Directorate “Social Assistance” – Pazardzhik, delivered presentations on the topic.

Representatives from the District Administration and the Municipal administrations of Pazardzhik and Peshtera, managers and representatives from institutions, non-governmental organizations and the media took part in the conference.

Project “Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and decisions in the social inclusion of offenders” has been funded by Operative Programme “Human Resources Development” and co-funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund, Scheme for free financial assistance: BG051PO001-7.0.01 “No boundaries”.
