1 sem FG platf 270513Training under Module 2 from the four-module Programme for adopting the model HIS for social inclusion of offenders took place in Velingrad last week. The Programme is launched within the framework of the Project “Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and decisions in the social inclusion of offenders”. The Project is implemented in partnership with the German organization xit GmbH (consulting company coordinating a network of organizations and institutions in the social, educational and healthcare sphere) and Crime Prevention Fund – IGA. The second module includes training of project managers and managers of programmes of social inclusion of offenders, municipality representatives and NGOs in Bulgaria, which is planned to have two stages. Representatives of Pazardhik, Plovdiv, Burgas, Pleven, Belovo and Panagyurishte took part in the first stage.

The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of life of the people in Bulgaria by creating a platform between Bulgaria and Germany for mutual projects for enhancing the social inclusion of offenders. Innovative results from the policies and practices of the social inclusion of offenders with a focus on the model and the network – HIS (“Haftvermeidung durch soziale Integration”), which have already been implemented in Germany, will be transferred between the two countries.
