The introductory training within the framework of the Project “Portal – support for a professional realization” took place in Velingrad from 29th to 31st March. It was a training for school teachers, school psychologists and schoolmasters from the Vocational secondary school of clothing – a major partner under the project, and the other partner schools (primary and secondary) working with drop-outs. Representatives of more than 15 schools in Pazardzhik and the municipality took part.

The training started with presenting the project, its aims, tasks and achievements and continued with specific professional topics, group exercises, role games and discussions, whose main aim was to create a more adaptive and receptive atmosphere in schools. There were several topics which were particularly interesting to the audience such as “The role of the effective communication ‘teacher’student’ for increasing the learning motivation”, “Formation of communicative skills for work with difficult students”, “Interactive methods of working with children at risk”, “The role of the values for dropping out of school”, “Methods of motivating and attracting drop-outs”, “The role of the family for dropping out and the students’ going back to school” etc.

At the end of the training the participants filled in a questionnaire for feedback, where they shared not only their impressions but also their ideas for their future professional qualification on this topic by giving specific suggestions for the content of the second training, which will take place in the summer.
