Regional Fund - IGA, Pazardjik won an international award! Personally Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal presented the International Community Justice Awards!

Sn 1 180213Last week was held a four-days-long training of experts from “Center for trainings and services” and Crime prevention fund – IGA. It was organized within the project “Bulgarian-German platform for innovative policies and solutions for the social inclusion of offenders” on which both organizations are partners. The topic of the training was “Transfer and implementation of innovative model of cooperation in the re-socialization of offenders of the HSI network.” Speakers were prof. Harald Christa and Clemens Russell- experts from the German partner – “xit” GmbH.

This was the first training from a specially designed programme. A second training module for 30 representatives- project leaders and managers of programs for social inclusion of offenders, NGO representatives and also from administrations of different municipalities. In the summer 10 of them will make a training visit to Germany in order to get introduced to the model on site.

Sn 3 180213Adapting and implementing this innovative model will be complete with a field practice – practicing the implementation of its various elements in the work with offenders. Field experts who attended the trainings will actually test the adapted version of the HSI network model in the work on various cases.

   The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of life in Bulgaria by building a strong platform for collaboration between Bulgaria and Germany on projects aimed at enhancing social inclusion of offenders.
