(November 30^th)  Today Fund IGA has organized a workshop with institutions within the framework of Component 4” Reducing the vulnerability towards HIV injecting drug-users trough widening the range of the target group by application of a full package of preventive interventions and measures” – part of the “ HIV/AIDS prevention and control” programme under the Ministry of health.

The event took place at the Complex for social services for children and families(CSSCF) -Pazardzhik. It was attended by representatives of institutions and organizations, which work with children at risk and also representatives from Child protection unit, Regional police department, Probation office, Regional committee on drugs, Municipality of Pazardzhik and representatives of components currently active in the region.

The purpose of the workshop was to present the specifics in the work with the relevant target group and other vulnerable groups and to discuss options for establishing a future mechanism for cooperation on the work with children at risk, regarding the HIV and drug addiction prevention.

Crime prevention fund – IGA has been a subcontractor of Component 4 since 2004. The main activities include: field work, involvement in anti-HIV/AIDS campaigns, workshops on local and nation level and also networking – developing and establishing an effective mechanism for working with institutions.
