Summary:

To recognize the factors influencing the probation staff resilience, identify the common and the different in several European Union member states; to catalogue different, and identify promising, approaches to develop and sustain resilience, meanwhile averting negative outcomes in probation in Europe; to provide MS probation administration with information about the supportive activities and possibilities to sustain and develop staff resilience in EU jurisdictions to allow them to work more effectively with offenders, turning particular attention towards the officers working with high-profile cases (sex offenders, violent and habitual offenders); to recommend areas for further development to promote staff resilience in EU member states; to disseminate the findings and experience of the project, including best practices in the field of staff resilience, carrying out the study / research, publishing and disseminating its results, developing web page, organizing workshops and transnational conference;

Outputs and deliverables:

Methodology as a tool for evaluating staff resilience, research reports from local studies and the final report; Problem-solving models for averting negative outcomes - pilot schemes / action plans for each partner country; Transnational conference and focus group discussions; Web page on the probation staff resilience issues and Project activities.
