Project: “Vocational Training Program “Assessment and Case Management”

Project:” Vocational Training Program “Assessment and Case Management”
Implementation period: 01.10.2006 y. – 30.09.2008 y.
Source of Funding: Community action programme on vocational training “Leonardo da Vinci” of the European Union
Main objectives: АСМР targets the priority “Developing the quality of VET systems and practices” through the development, testing and implementation in practice of ACMP with its two exceptionally practical and up-to-date modules of social work: assessment of the needs and assets of the young offender released from prison, and case management.
Tasks of the project:
- To analyze the existing ground for training of social workers for work with young offenders in the community and the situation of the social services in the period before and after release from prison. This analysis will involve 100 representatives of the two target groups in each country – social workers and young offenders;
- To develop a working version of the various elements of the ACMP;
- To test the ACMP by involving 100 young offenders from each country (in prison and after the release) in the assessment module, and 20 social workers in both modules;
- To implement the program in the different structures and systems for professional training, taking into account the particular conditions in each country;
- To conduct vast popularization and media campaign to support the achievement of the project aims.
Expected results:
- final conference held for presentation of ACMP and ACMP Curriculum;
- 1000 copies of ACMP handbook published;
- 3000 CDs with the digital version of the handbook (ACMP curriculum);
- Web site functioning during and after project implementation;
- 5 seminars held in each of the partner countries;
- 50 meetings between project team members and experts, key representatives of relevant institutions (prison, probation, labor and social services, universities, VET providers);
- E-Newsletter circulating among professionals, institutions, stakeholders;
- 2 articles published in magazines for professionals;
- 12 e-sessions of Steering committee, 12 e-sessions and/ or meetings of national work groups in each partner country;
