 Training for representatives of the Partnership network

403From 22nd up to 25th of November in the Municipality of Troyan training on project “Partnership network for crime prevention” was carried out. Representatives of NGO’s from Stara Zagora, Sofia, Pleven, Pazardjik, Isperih and Sandanski as well as representatives of institutions gained skills for establishment and work in a network.
Main lecturer of the training was Erik Houben - representative of the Dutch organization PSW - Employment Consultancy. The main problems and processes which pursue the establishment of the network for crime prevention were discussed.
During October representatives of NGO from Sofia, Plovdiv, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Pazardjik and Sandanski gathered on work meeting in Pazardjik and discussed the coalitional platform proposal on which the organizations have to agree. They were selected according to one main criteria - to work or to have the capacity to work with offenders. The next step from the implementation of the project was exactly the training which was carried out during the end of the last week.
Project “Partnership network for crime prevention” is been implemented by Crime Prevention Fund - IGA with the financial support of the European Union, PHARE Programme “Civil Society Development 2004”.

 Discussion on Coalition establishment

397NGO representatives from Sofia, Plovdiv, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Pazardjik and Sandanski were gathered a work meeting in the hall of RAEDBI - Pazardjik. The meeting was carried out in the frames of project “Partnership network for crime prevention”, which is implemented with the financial support of PHARE Program “Civil Society Development 2004”.
The participants in the meeting were introduced with the Analysis of the inquiries for the necessity from trainings of the identified NGOs. The Platform proposal on which the participant-organizations that are working or are having the capacity to work with offenders should gather was discussed in details. An agreement on the main documents of the coalition was achieved. The coordinators from Fund - IGA, the leading organization on the project, introduced before the participants in the meeting the forthcoming project activities. To the end of November, as a training of the selected NGOs will be carried out, the Agreement for establishment of the coalition will be undersigned.
Regarding the seminar during November a trainers from PSW – Employment Consultancy, the Netherlands - partners of Fund - IGA in the project will arrive. It will be directed towards gaining of skills concerning different forms of Public-private partnership, identification of project ideas, developing quality project proposals and implementation of projects, accenting the European Social Fund.

 NGOs on work meeting in Pazardjik 

394Partnership meeting gathered by representatives of 13 nongovernmental organizations from the country will be carried out on 18th of October (Thursday) in the conference hall of RAEDBI. Participation in it will take NGOs from Sofia, Plovdiv, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Pazardjik, Isperih, Razlog and Sandanski. The meeting will start with pres-conference in 9.30 AM The event is part of the project “Partnership network for crime prevention”, which is been implemented with the financial support of the European Union, Program PHARE Program - Civil Society Development 2004. The main aim of the project is to improve the role and the participation of the civil society in Bulgaria in the forming of the national and international policies concerning the crime prevention, reintegration of offenders and the decreasing of the social exclusion.
On the meeting, matter of discussion will be documents for establishment of the Partnership network from nongovernmental organizations, who are working or having the capacity to work with offenders. The establishment of the network aims to improve their capacity for programming, monitoring and evaluation of European projects for social achievements in the crime prevention sphere.

 NGOs from Bulgaria building a partnership network 

383From 2nd up to 5th of July in the “Panichishte” resort a training seminar was carried out for nongovernmental organizations who work or are having capacity to work with offenders. Participation took NGO representatives from Razlog, Sandanski, Plovdiv, Pazardjik, Pleven, Isperih, Stara Zagora and also representatives from the institutions. The training passed with big interest – as for the participants as well as them trainers. New methods were introduced - “Leary’s rose” (mapping the human interaction), “McKinsey model” (value based management) etc. A lot of workshops and discussions were carried out. All of the organizations concluded the idea for establishment of partnership network for crime prevention. The participants identified the organization frames and discussed the mission and the vision of the network. The training was organized in the frames of Fund – IGA’s project “Partnership network for crime prevention”, which is been implemented with the financial support of PHARE Progamme- Civil society development 2004. The main aim of the project is to improve the role and the participation of the civil society in Bulgaria regarding the formation of the national and European policies related to the crime prevention, reintegration of offenders and the decreasion of the social exclusion.

 Dutch experts trained nongovernmental organization within Fund - IGA project 

381From 1st to 6th of July in the mountain resort “Panichishte” a seminar for nongovernmental organizations was carried out. The training was organized in the frames of Fund - IGA project “Partnership network for crime prevention”, which is implemented with the financial support of Program PHARE - Civil society development 2004.
The main aim of the project is to improve the role and the participation of the civil society in Bulgaria in the formation of the national and the European policies regarding crime prevention, the reintegration of ex-offenders and increasing social inclusion.
Project partners are PSW - Employment Consultancy - Netherlands, Association “Development of Personality and Human Communities” - Pleven, Association “International Initiatives for Cooperation - Razlog, Foundation for regional development ROMA - Plovdiv and the associated partners Ministry of Justice, General Directorate “Execution of penalties” and Sofia Municipality.
The training is for NGO representatives, working or having capacity to work with offenders. It will improve their theoretical knowledge for project management, the European standards in the area of care for offenders, crime prevention, as well as to improve their capacity for programming, monitoring and evaluation of European projects for social achievement in the crime prevention sphere.
Lecturers on the training course are the experts from PSW - Employment Consultancy - Netherlands Rene van Hooren and Rombout Jas. For participation nongovernmental organizations from Razlog, Sandanski, Plovdiv, Pleven, Isperih and Stara Zagora are invited, as well as representatives of the partner institutions.
