Social Assistants project finalized in Zvanichevo

An Open Doors Day was carried out today, July 24th, at the “Zvezda” community centre in the village of Zvanichevo. The event marked the end of project “Social Assistants and Domestic Assistants in Support of the Elderly”. The event aimed to close the project, to present the results of the project and to raise awareness about the services “Social Assistant” and “Domestic Assistant”.
Beneficiaries of the project, social and domestic assistants, the mayors of the villages Zvanichevo and Bratanitsa all took part in the event, as well as many citizens.
The project was implemented by Training and Services Centre Association in partnership with the local “Zvezda” community centre. The project was implemented with the financial support of Operative Program “Human Resources Development”, co-funded by the EU as part of the European Social Fund.

Social assistants and librarians serve books in homes in Zvanichevo and Bratanitza

(the 9th of March) At Friday, in the community centre “Zvezda” - Zvanichevo were introduced the books, bought to satisfy the reader` s needs of senior citizens, who are receiving the services “domestic assistant” and “social assistant”, in the frames of project “Social assistant and domestic assistant – in favor of the senior citizens”. The project is implemented by Training and services centre – Pazardzhik, in partnership with communal centre “Zvezda” – Zvanichevo and is financed by the European social fund 2007 – 2013, Operational programme “Development of the human resources”.
Since October in Zvanichevo are working 4 social assistants and two domestic assistants and in Bratanitza two domestic assistants. They service altogether 16 lone seniors in the two villages. The librarian service at their homes started, after the reading preferences of the served people were inquired. For this purpose in the communal library was created a special collection for them.
At the introduction of the books were invited all the social assistants and domestic assistants, who work with senior citizens in the villages Zvanichevo and Bratanitza, as well as the seniors who were able to be present. After the final of the project all the books will be donated to the communal library in the communal centre of Zvanichevo. These are 90 books costing 1100 leva.

A partnership project with a Community centre was presented on an annual meeting

Project “Social assistant” and “Home helpmate” in favor of the seniors” was presented in the plenary hall of Pazardjik Municipality in the end of the last week. There was carried out the Annual meeting of the Community center activists from District Pazardjik. It is a common initiative of Pazardjik Municipality, the Regional expert-consultancy and information center “Community centers” – Pazardjik and it is coordinated by the Ministry of Culture.
The coordinator of the project presented to the Community centre activists as the project, as well the opportunities for partnership in projects and cooperation between the nongovernmental sector and the Community centers. Partner of the Training and services center in the project is Community centre “Zvezda” – Zvanichovo. The project is funded by the European social fund 2007 – 2013, Operational programme “Human resources development”.

“Social assistant” and “home helpmate” – in two villages of Municipality Pazardjik

In the villages Zvanichovo and Bratanitsa, the services “social assistant” and “home helpmate” are already being delivered as a part of the implementation of project “Social assistant” and “Home helpmate” in favor of the seniors”, which is financed by the European social fund2007 – 2013, Operational programme “Human resources development”. Leading organization in the project is “Training and services center” Association and the partner – Community center “Zvezda” - Zvanichovo.
From October in Zvanichovo village work four social assistants and two home helpmates, and in Bratanitsa – two home helpmates. They serve altogether 16 senior people in the two villages. Some of the social assistants and helpmates have family relations with the beneficiaries, supposing more trust between the two sides. At this moment the two social services are well accepted as by the beneficiaries, as by the assistants and the home helpmates. In the near future, library service at the homes of those who declared, will be added. For the purpose in the Community club library will be collected a books collection, according to the interests and preferences of the seniors. Main target of the project is to ensure honorable life and to guarantee enough independence for the seniors who are more than 65 years old, trough home-care services “social assistant” and “home helpmate”.

Two projects supporting the solitary adults

Yesterday in the National press club of BTA in Pazardjik were presented two new social projects which will be implemented on the territory of Pazardjik Municipality – in town of Pazardjik and in the villages Zvanichevo and Bratanitsa. These are Project “Equal opportunities – worthy life” of Crime Prevention Fund – IGA in partnership with Regional library “Nikola Furnadjiev” – Pazardjik and Project “Social assistant and home assistant in service of the adults” of the “Training and Services Center” in partnership with Community center “Zvezda”, Zvanichevo.
The project proposals are supported in the frame of Operational programme “Human resources development” which is co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
The projects were presented from Valentina Gesheva – manager of the Center for Social Services at Fund – IGA, the chairpersons of the two organizations Marina Manolcheva and Dimitar Rusinov and representatives of the partners Elena Margova-Stoeva – temporary in charge Director of RL “Nikola Furnadjiev” and Sultana Stoytcheva – Secretary of Community center “Zvezda” – Zvanichevo.
