Eleonora Hadzhinikolova endowed Crisis Centre – Peshtera with a painting |
Eleonora Hadzhinikolova, painter from Pazardzhik, endowed the Crisis Centre for individuals and children who are victims of abuse with a painting. She did the endowment on 26 October at “Prof. Veselin Staykov” art gallery in Peshtera. She wants her painting to be sold and the money from it to be used for the needs of the social service. The name of the painting is “Peonies”. The painting is in warm colours and its size is 70/60 cm. Crime Prevention Fund – IGA together with the Crisis Centre will organize a Christmas charity event where the painting will be sold. |
The Miracles of Christmas |
At the end of last week Crime prevention fund – IGA and the Crisis center for people and children victims of violence – Peshtera held a charity-exhibition of postcards and souvenirs hand-crafted by the children from this Center. The event took place at the main lobby of community center “Razvitie”(Progress) – Peshtera. To support the charity event came many representatives of institutions and organizations, business and citizens. The charity exhibition was opened by the mayor of Peshtera – Georgi Kozarev. 405 leva were raized at the event. Then were purchased Christmas presents for the children from this Center. The Crisis center for people and children victims of violence – Peshtera is a state-delegated social service and has been managed by Fund IGA since 2009. |
Crisis centres in Bulgaria and Austria exchange experience |
The previous month representatives of the Crisis centre for individuals and children victims of abuse – Peshtera went to a training and exchange of experience in the Crisis centre “Dreshaibe” – Vienna. The goal of the training was to improve the workers’ attitudes in their direct work with children who are victims of traffic, in the exchange of experience and in the ways of dealing with the problem of traffic of children and their exploitation. The training took place in the Crisis centre – Vienna and it included an introduction to the profile of the Centre and its documents, a discussion of different cases, visiting other social services as well as visiting the Criminal office in Vienna and a meeting with the officer in charge of the victims of traffic and abuse, visiting the District social office in Vienna etc. The training was implemented within the framework of a Bulgarian-Austrian project for an exchange of experience between the crisis centres in the two countries. |
