Brief summary of the content: The goal of the project is to promote the co-operation between the law-forcing bodies of the EU member countries and particularly the big network of municipal and local police offices by bringing them closer, facilitating the exchange of the information and reinforcing the transfer of good practices. In this way the crime prevention and particularly the city crime prevention will be acted upon.

The project will promote the effective practices in this direction and will reinforce their transfer by stimulating the respective professionals to share knowledge and experience. The research activity will be conducted in one of the best European researching institutes in this sphere – the Institute for researching the policies in the sphere of criminal law to the University of London. Intensive communication and contacts will stimulate the local police in the EU member countries to draw practices which they consider good and effective. After evaluating the method “Which works” representatives of the police will have the opportunity to present their own good practices at 3 international seminars. The transfer of practices will focus on the preparation and the implementation of 3 local pilot projects whose goal will be to apply the best of the researched models and to direct it to the local police offices in Bulgaria, Spain and Italy.
