Training seminar under Project “Programmes and services for prevention and protection of domestic violence” took place in Velingrad. The training was for representatives of institutions dealing with domestic violence and magistrates working to enforce the Law for protection of domestic violence.

The project team presented the activities of the Bureau for consulting, directing, and assisting, the perpetrators’ profiles, and the Specialised programme for perpetrators of domestic violence.

The guest lecturers, psychologist, and lawyer delivered presentations on the following topics: Gender differences or psychology of violence in the family system; Psychology consultation and marriage therapy in cases of domestic violence; Domestic violence - aspects in the legal practice; and Domestic violence as a crime.

The training ended with a beneficial discussion in which the participants talked about changes in the Penal Code regarding domestic violence.

The project is implemented under Contract for non-remunerated financial assistance №93-00-154/21.05.2019 with the Ministry of Justice.
